These are games so enriched with Americaness that they could easily be used to recruit people from other countries or torture nationalists from other countries. Sure maybe they're not all made in America and maybe the people in them aren't Americans or even real for that matter, but they are the embodiment of the American ideal. Valve has been talking about their next Team Fortress 2 update for a couple of months now. This time around they're going for the Sniper. I think they would have been better off doing something with the Soldier since it's kind of boring and easily outdone by a demoman... unless of course you have a kritzkrieg. Preferences aside, the first addition to the sniper's arsenal seems to be one of the more interesting weapons added to the game... and it goes by the name The Huntsman. |

I got this game a while back on Steam and I was all about it for a while, but some of the gameplay flaws (repeating missions, long travel times, clunky things) kept me from finishing it. Looking around on the old interwebs, I came across this. |

Recently there has been a lot of buzz about Duke Nukem Forever and 3DRealms. If you don't already know, 3DRealms, the company that was developing Duke Nukem Forever for the past thousand years (actually since 1997), has gone under due to a lack of funding. I assume 12 years of development with no sales would do that to a company... Given these events, some former employees of the company came out releasing a ton of screenshots and videos of the game that, by my standards, look pretty damn solid. Here's one of the release videos. Now if this wasn't all strange enough, now you there's some kind of conspiracy out there saying that it's all a marketing ploy. |

Yeah, I don't know why either. Yet, according to the Gears of War screenplay writer, Chris Morgan, it's on the road to production. Now... whether this is the truth or just a way to get some people interested in the idea is not something I could decide upon... but it seems like it might be a stretch. |
